Grayson County Small Fruit Plant Sale

Grayson County 4-H is holding its second Fruit Plant Sale from February 1-26, 2010. Orders can be placed over the phone by calling the Grayson County Extension Office at 276-773-2491 or a brochure can be found at offices.ext.vt.edu/grayson/ or www.gc4h.blogspot.com. For this sale, blueberry and strawberry plants can be purchased.
The Fruit Tree Sale will take place in Fall 2010.
Blueberry plants will be sold for $6.00 per plant and strawberry plants will be sold at $10.00 for 25 plants, $15.00 for 50 plants, $18.00 for 75 plants and 100-500 plants $20.00/every 100 and more than 500 at $16.00/every 100. Strawberry varieties must be ordered in increments of 25 plants, no exceptions.
All sales will benefit the Grayson County 4-H program.

Grayson County 4-H Camp Teen & CIT Applications

The 2010 Teen and CIT applications are now available for download. CIT's are for 8th GRADE STUDENTS ONLY! Teens can be 9th grade and up!
Camp dates are June 7-11, 2010 at the Southwest Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Abingdon, VA. Planning and themes are already in the workings!!!
Teens and CIT's will know exactly what is expected of them in training, get togethers, etc. well ahead of time so that they can plan accordingly!!

Grayson County Jr. 4-H Camp Registration Information

Grayson and Carroll County 4-H Camp will be held June 1-5, 2009 at the Southwest Virginia 4-H Educational Center. The following link will provide more information about registration dates for 2009. State 4-H Congress at Virginia Tech

Registration for the 2009 Virginia State 4-H Congress Event has been activated and is now ready for you to register. There are quite a few directions to this registration process, so if you find a spot where you have trouble, please contact Daniel Collins in the Grayson County Extension Office at 276-773-2491.
All Registrations are due in the Grayson County Extension Office to Daniel by April 17, 2009. The earlier your registration is, the more likely it is that you get the courses and events that you register for at Congress.
